Why does the StaticColorShaderNode work as parent for a QuadRenderNode but not as parent for a CubeRenderNode to change the colour?

Root -> Transformation -> Shader -> Quad works Root -> Transformation -> Shader -> Cube does not. Does the static_color.vs.glsl need to be changend or the Class CubeRenderNode?
