The Master's Thesis Seminar is offered every semester, but it is assigned to different Global Business Tracks in the summer and winter terms. This might be why you're unable to find the course in the course search on KUSSS for the upcoming term. Students can start the seminar in any semester and complete it whenever they are ready to submit their Master's thesis. Our team will automatically assign each student to the Master's Thesis Seminar, typically following the international phase of the MGB program. If you wish to start the seminar during or before the international phase, please feel free to contact us at mgb@jku.at.

Please note that the Master's Thesis Seminar is held regularly, and only a maximum of 8 presentations can be accommodated per session. Pre-registration is on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure that all presenters receive adequate time for their presentation and Q&A.
Concept presentations are limited to 10 minutes, while final presentations have a maximum duration of 15 minutes. Please ensure that you focus on the most important content during your presentation. Each presentation will conclude with a brief Q&A session.
It is not necessary to upload your presentations to Moodle.
Students are strongly encouraged to attend all sessions throughout the semester. Active participation in discussions is also expected. For the grading of the MT seminar, please refer to the syllabus.
Here are some benefits of attending:
- Overview of the Master's thesis process
- Good opportunity to exchange ideas with supervisors and fellow students
- Ask questions and get immediate answers
- Space for constructive feedback
- Insights into the work of other students (in terms of topic choice, research design, challenges in the writing process, etc.)
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your supervisor or the MGB team.
