Participatory Design: Sensing European Digital Rights
From the fundamentals of participatory methodology to practical application:
This seminar explores the design process from a wide range of perspectives. It demonstrates how new synergies in knowledge integration can emerge through interdisciplinary dialogue between designers and users.
The theme for this semester will be the tangibility of rights in the digital space. In the physical world, people develop an everyday understanding of right and wrong through cues such as markings, fences, or direct social interactions. In the digital world, these symbols and cues are missing. So, how can we establish them in the digital space as well? That is the question for the summer semester of 2026.
The goal of this course is to empower participants to solve complex digital problems in an inclusive and sustainable manner through a transdisciplinary approach.
