- Wildlife and living in Linz
The campus shares the land with some feathery residents, ducks. It can be tempting but please do not feed the ducks with dry bread crumbs as the food gets soaked with water they might actually die from that type of food. The forests in Austria are rather safe, there are no dangerous wild animals.
In case you decide to go for hiking, make sure that you are well-prepared. There are some peaks in Austria that are not to be underestimated. Climbing them demands stamina, proper gear and well-prepared company. In case your way is crossed by cows or horses do not act loud or do fast movement, remain calm and pass by them preferably without trying to pet or feed them.
After you have arrived please check what´s to do by selecting from the menu below or on the right hand side.
There are many administrative steps to fulfill to have you legally settled in Linz!
Missing any of those legal obligations can result in financial penalty or imprisonment.
