The international phase
The dates for the international phase are always provided upon the end of the previous international phase (in the end of September).
You can use the current period for orientation but please keep in mind the days will probably change:
- Canada: January 6 - March 14, 2025
- Austria: April 2 - June 20, 2025
- Peru: July 2 - September 19, 2025

When booking your flight to Canada:
- When booking a flight with Air France or KLM, students can get a special “student fare” (just apply it when searching for flights. Instead of adult put student). Depending on the destination, you are allowed to take additional luggage and even change flight date for only an additional cost if the ticket price for the new date defers from the old one.
- Flights prices are usually cheapest about 3-6 month prior to departure date.
- Furthermore, it might be cheaper to book a flight from Germany than from Austria. There is good public transport between Linz and Munich.
- One potential preventive measure against delayed flights and lost luggage (due to delayed flights), you should rather book directly with the airline than hop on a special deal of an unpopular operator (facilitates refunds).
